Leland van den Daele, PhD, ABPP

I am Dr Leland, born in California, educated in the Midwest in clinical and child psychology, certified in New York as a psychoanalyst, with decades of experience in human development and psychological assessment with creation of original tests, such as the Music Apperception Test.. I am a training and supervising psychoanalyst at the American Institute for Psychoanalysis and member of the American and International Psychoanalytic Associations. My treatment approach focuses upon the whole person, past, present, and future. I specialize in the life transitions of adolescence, adulthood, and maturity. I help clients overcome impasses, being stuck, internal conflict, and cultural disharmony. Clients leave therapy with an enriched knowledge of self, clear goals, and improved interpersonal relationships with partners, children, and others.
